Planetary Magnetics Corporation operates out of the New Orleans print and book arts collective Baskerville. It is a long name for a thing that makes it sound like it is a bigger thing than what it really is - which is me, Tyler, with some ink and stuff. I specialize in letterpress and sometimes screen printing on paper. I make functional things like posters, drink coasters, music packaging, tags, calendars, menus, labels, stickers, small stupid books, and cards of all kinds. I also make dysfunctional art. The presses I use are old, beautiful machines that create work with character, and the antique wood and metal fonts and ornaments are set by hand and have personality. I've put out some records too, mostly of music that lots of people would argue isn’t music at all. Sometimes I sell things at art markets in Southeast Louisiana with my friends in the New Orleans Typothetae. Bob Dylan got around $300 million for his song catalog. You can have one of my prints for much less than that, or maybe I will yell Venutian poetry at you through a cardboard tube while wildly stomping my feet.
